Saint Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, and so is Spring. It’s time to leap into a new season with a Shamrock Shake recipe that is sure to bring that spring back to your step. This cannabis-infused smoothie will liven up your Leprechaun jig just in time for St. Paddy’s Day celebrations.
It’s packed with super healthy antioxidants, protein and Omega 3 and 6 thanks to the kale, spinach and hemp seeds. It’s so healthy, it can even help counteract some negative effects of any less-than-nourishing beverages you may be consuming during Saint Patrick’s Day festivities.
Shamrock Shake
Makes 1-1/2 cups (375mL)
Chocolate Fondue
6 TBSP raw agave nectar
6 TBSP raw cacao powder
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
2 TBSP cool water
Green Smoothie
1 cup dairy free milk
¼ cup packed baby spinach leaves
¼ cup torn kale leaves, stems removed
2 tbsp hemp seeds, plus a little more for garnishing
1 tsp CBD oil
¼ tsp spirulina powder (see Tips, left)
1 frozen banana
Dash pure peppermint mint extract
For the fondue
In a blender combine the agave, cacao, coconut oil and water. Blend at high speed until smooth.
For the green smoothie
In a blender, combine, dairy free milk, spinach, kale, hemp seeds, CBD oil, spirulina, frozen banana and mint extract. Blend at high speed until smooth.
